Transportation
I. Driving the car:
  1. National Freeway No. 1: Leave the freeway from Zhongching Interchange and take Zhongching Road.Turn left to Wenxin Road and go straight. Make a U-turn at the intersection between Wenxin Road and Suiyuan Rod. Our hotel is right next to McDonald's.
  2. National Freeway No 3: Change to Taiwan Expressway No.74 and leave the expressway from the interchange at Section 3 of Taiyuan Road and turn left. Turn right at Section 1 of Chongde Road. Turn left at Section 4 of Wenxing Road, and our hotel is right next to McDonald's.
II. Parking lot: The parking lot is right behind the hotel. Please park your car according to the signs.

III. Public transportation:
Bus:Taichung Bus: Take No. 68, 72, or 82 and get off the bus at the bus station at Wenxin Road and W. Meichuan Road Intersection.
           U-bus Bus and Kuokuang Bus: Take No. 53 or 85 and get off the bus at the bus station at Wenxin Road and W. Meichuan Road Intersection.
           Geya Bus: Take No. 68 and get off the bus at the bus station at Wenxin Road and W. Meichuan Road Intersection. 
  • Take Taiwan Railway to Taiyuan Train Station. Take No. 53 of U-Bus and get off the bus at the bus station at Wenxin Road and W.Meichuan Road Intersection. Walk toward the direction of McDonald's (about 100 m) and you will see our hotel.

  • Take Taiwan High Speed Rail to Taichung Station. Take the escalator at No. 5/6 exit on the ground floor to the first floor.Go to the bus transfer station on the first floor (No. 15 bus platform at Exit No. 6).   • At Take U-Bus to Zhongkang Transfer Station, take U-Bus No. 81, 83 or 73 to Taichung Train Station. Then take Taichung Bus No. 82 and get off the bus at the bus station at Wenxin Road and W.   • At Chaoma Bus Transfer Station, Take Taichung Bus No. 88 or 83 to Taichung Train Station. Then take Taichung Bus No. 82 and get off the bus at the bus station at Wenxin Road and W. Meichuan Road Intersection. Walk toward the direction of McDonald's (about 100 m) and you will see our hotel.
  • At Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, take Kuokang Bus to Taichung Train Station. Take Taichung Bus No. 82 and get off the bus at the bus station at Wenxin Road and W. Meichuan Road Intersection. Walk toward the direction of McDonald's (about 100 m) and you will see our hotel.


IV. Taxi:
  • If you take a taxi from TaiYuan Train Station to our hotel, it will take about 10 to 15 minutes and the fare is between NTD 110 and 120.
  • If you take a taxi from Taichung Train Station to our hotel, it will take about 20 to 30 minutes and the fare is between NTD 180 and 200.
  • If you take a taxi from Taiwan High Speed Rail Taichung Train Station to our hotel, it will take about 30 to 40 minutes and the fare is between NTD 450 and 500.
  • If you take a taxi from Taichung Ching-Chuan-Kang Airport (Taichung Airport) to our hotel, it will take about 40 to 50 minutes and the fare is between NTD 450 and 500.
  • If you take a taxi from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to our hotel, it will take about 2 to 2.5 hours and the fare is between NTD 3,500 and 3,800. 
 


Recreation sites
I. Wenxin Forest Park
On Wenxin Road of Nantun District of Taichung City, the 8.86-hectare-large park has a big outdoor theater, Fulfillment Amphitheater, which can house 3,000 to 4,000 people. Many activities organized by Taichung City Government are held here, such as Central Taiwan Lantern Festival, Taichung Children's Day, Taichung Traditional Art Festival, and Taichung Rock & Roll Festival.
Aside from a year spent on building the roof of the theater, various art and cultural activities have been presented at the park since its official opening on August 5, 2006. Over the years, Wenxin Forest Park has become a major cultural and recreational public space for people in Taichung.

II. Park Lane by CMP
The shopping center is located next to Gongyi Road and Jingguo Parkway at the West District of Taichung City and is close to National Museum of Natural Science and National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. There is not only a 20-meter-high indoor green wall (from underground level 2 all the way to the third floor) made of a total of 13,200 plant pots but also an outdoor green wall made of 118,300 plant pots. The green wall is the largest in Asia.

III. National Taichung Theater
This 57,020.46 square meter large, 37.7 meter high, two underground levels and six aboveground levels building has a reinforced concrete structure with partial steelwork. The curved walls of the sound caves are inspired by the very primitive architectural structures of humans, caves and pits. There are a total of 58 walls, and the interior side of all the walls are curved, making the construction a highly challenging one; that’s why the building is considered by the industry as the most difficult to build house in the world. It houses a large-size theater (2,014 seats), a medium-size theater (800 seats), and an experimental theater (200 seats). Other relevant facilities include an underground parking lot and various public spaces. The design of its peripheral landscapes is centered on providing an aerial view of the sound caves.

IV. National Museum of Natural Science
National Museum of Natural Science
The National Museum of Natural Science houses the Science Center, Space IMAX Theater, Science Center, Life Science Hall, Human Cultures Hall (originally Chinese Science Hall), Global Environment Hall, and Botanical Garden. Among all museums in Taiwan, National Museum of Natural Science has the second highest number of visitors (three million people) annually, next to National Palace Museum.
Opening hours: 9:00 - 17:00 (National Museum of Natural Science is closed every Monday as well as on the Chinese New Year's Eve and the first day of the Chinese New Year. The museum is open if Monday is part of the statutory holiday or a compensatory day-off).
Free admission: 9:00-10:00 Wednesday (except Space IMAX Theater and charged special exhibitions)
Extended hours: For the Tropical Rainforest Conservatory and special exhibitions at the Botanical Garden, the operating hours will be extended to 18:00 on statutory holidays from February to the end of October. The outdoor section of the Botanical Garden is open to the public, and the major lighting devices will be turned off at 22:00.

V. National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts
Comprising one underground level and three aboveground levels, this long rectangle building of National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts has a total surface area of 102,000 square meter (including the sculpture park), making it the largest museum of fine arts in Asia. There is a transparent corridor that goes across the museum from the south to the north end, dividing the museum into the east zone and the west zone. The west zone is used for Exhibition Galleries A and B, while the east zone houses Exhibition galleries C, D, E, and F. Areas for exhibition include Exhibition Galleries A to F, the gallery street, the information transit station, Digiark, and the Digital Creative Resource Center. The arrangement of the exhibitions are as follows: The first and second floors are for special exhibitions, the third floor is for the permanent exhibition of Taiwan's fine arts collections, and Exhibition Gallery F is mainly for exhibiting donated art works. The Gallery Street that goes east-west transversely, the bamboo forest hall, and the concave plaza can be mixed and matched flexibly in various ways for cross-domain showcases and performances. The interior space of the museum is divided into exhibition galleries, the 360o auditorium, the picture book area, Digiark, Media Art Platform, Media Art Center, the library, Teacher's Resource Center, Rose Hall, and the art boutique.

VI. Maple Garden
This 3-hectar park with a detention basin is located on Section 2 of Taiwan Boulevard and Chaofu Road. Aside from the detention basin, there are maple trees, green lawns, and a bridge for viewing the beautiful sceneries in the park. It is an excellent place for strolling around, having a date, or enjoying some physical activities. In the daytime, the green park is very pleasant and comforting for the eyes, and when the sun goes down, all the lights make the park breathtaking. Walking into the park gives an illusion of visiting Shangri-La: You will forget about the hustle and bustle life in a big city, your mind shall be refreshed and most importantly, you will feel happier.

VII. Yizhong shopping district
Covering Sanmin Road, Yizhong Street, Taiping Road, Yucai Street, Yucai South Street and Yucai North Street, Yizhong shopping district is a large shopping area at the North District of Taichung City. Because its targeted consumers are youngsters, the place is important for youth trends and culture. You can find anything trendy and chic here, from food and drink to recreation and leisure activities. Yizhong Street is the most crowded area of this shopping district, and on the two sides of the street, there are assorted snack stands where you can buy cheap but delicious treats. People, mostly high school students rushing to cram schools, usually stream into the area around 17:00. This is why the foods here are cheap and in big portions.

VIII. Fengchia Night Market
Fengchia Night Market covers Wenhua Road, Fuxing Road and Fengchia Road. The night market is famous for big portions at low prices. On weekends and holidays, the night market is filled with people, blocking the major streets. Fengchia Night Market is the place where you can find new and interesting snack food, and it is considered as the birth place of original and creative snack food. It is currently the largest night market in Taiwan, and because of its innovative and wide variety of snack food options, Fengchia Night Market was named as the night market offering the most delicious food in Taiwan in 2010 Unique Night Market Voting. Moreover, Global Views Monthly did a poll "Night Markets in Taiwan" and again, Fengchia Night Market was selected as the favorite night market in Taiwan. About transportation
